Lessons

Alison's World of Music evolved from its innovative and award winning music instruction. Presently, Alison's WOM offers lessons in piano, guitar, bass, ukulele, drums, woodwind and brasswind instruments. All of our instructors have studied music (most through a college level), are current performers, and have
145+ years of combined teaching experience. Lessons are offered weekly, afternoons through evening hours, Mondays thru Thursdays.
Our lessons schedule goes month to month allowing new students to sign up the last week of every month.
So, if you have a desire to learn, no matter what your age, come see us...we can hook you up!

Meet the Teachers

Alison Dubuc enjoys teaching piano and has been working with beginner through advanced students for 25+ years. Alison also works with our summer music program teaching students about woodwind, brasswind, and percussion instruments as well. Music education is very important to Alison and sharing her knowledge and talents with others is what she likes to do!

Joel Cooper is a "Rock Star" at Alison's WOM with his guitar and bass instruction.  Joel has been teaching guitar for 25+ years and has been at Alison's WOM for 10+ years.  Joel is also an active performer with "Joel Cooper Rock Show" "Spank the Monkey" and others.  Electric and acoustic  venues keep him busy as he performs weekly throughout
the southeast region.

David Pino keeps "beatin'" around at Alison's WOM as the percussion instructor. Dave is from Salem, Massachusetts, a former student of Berkley College of Music, and studied with renowed jazz percussionist, Alan Dawson. As a graduate of the Armed Forces School of Music, Dave spent his 20 year career in both the Army and Navy bands.  Dave has 18+ years of teaching, 12 at Alison's!

Norbert Redmond, a former Alison's WOM student, now spends time teaching guitar, bass, piano, and ukuele at Alison's.  Norbert enjoys sharing his talents as a singer/songwriter and performs his own music locally.  Working with students to "think outside the printed music" is one of his talents.  Norbert has been teaching
for  4+ years, with one
year at Alison's!

Pete Hittle blows his horn at Alison's WOM as our woodwind and brasswind instructor.  Trumpet is Pete's instrument of choice, and he performs locally in different genres, but jazz is his passion.  As a retired band director from Iowa, Pete has 35+ years of teaching experience, and he works with Alison's to help recruit students to join band in our local schools!
